Recently announced by FUJIFILM Dimatix, the SKYFIRE SF600 is a Si-MEMS printhead boasting features that deliver in three key areas: performance, productivity and durability. With a compact form factor that offers high laydown of aqueous, oil, solvent or UV curable inks at speed, this new printhead is designed for a wide range of applications including, most notably, digitally printed textiles.
Meteor’s new PDS-2SF600 drive electronics for the SKYFIRE SF600 are suitable for scanning or single-pass systems of any size or complexity. Coupled with Meteor software for system control, print job creation and image quality enhancement, OEMs can significantly reduce the effort and risk associated with the design and delivery of industrial inkjet printers. Meteor solutions enable easy access to the powerful open waveform capability provided by Dimatix, allowing the optimisation of printhead waveforms for specific applications. In addition to waveform development services, Meteor offers a DropWatching System for the SKYFIRE SF600, an essential tool to accelerate time to market for new inkjet applications.
Jonathan Wilson, Meteor’s Vice President of Business Development comments, “For nearly 20 years, Meteor electronics and software have been driving FUJIFILM Dimatix printheads. Meteor’s strengths map perfectly to the FUJIFILM Dimatix tenets of performance, productivity and durability and we are extremely excited to add the SKYFIRE SF600 to our line-up.”
Michael Wozny, Senior Product Manager at FUJIFILM Dimatix adds, “I am delighted that Meteor is supporting the SKYFIRE SF600. Meteor solutions provide a straight-forward, reliable and effective way for OEMs to take advantage of all that the SF600 has to offer including multi-pulse grayscale Dimatix VERSADROP jetting that delivers speeds over 130 meters/min at 600 x 600 dpi; or high ink laydown capability of up to 21 grams per square meter at production quality.”
Arrange a meeting with Meteor at drupa 2024 to discuss solutions to drive the SKYFIRE® SF600 and other Dimatix printheads in Duesseldorf, 28 May – 7 June. Stand 7A-D03. Book a meeting here.
