The emergency accommodation project provides each guest with safety and comfort in one of twenty ensuite rooms. It Takes a City will once again be working closely with partner agencies to assist people in moving on to next stage accommodation that best meets their needs. It Takes a City says: We are incredibly grateful to our landlord, CATS Global Schools, for their continuing support, including new carpet in the lounge. They also donated the oven that you can see Eileen happily receiving. This will make the daily communal meals, a central part of the Crossways philosophy, much easier to prepare.
As with all ITAC projects, our amazing network of partner organisations will be providing support with both donations of items and volunteers.
Due to the currently cost of living crisis, we are anticipating an increase in the numbers of people who find themselves rough sleeping or vulnerably housed. If you would like to make a donation to help make each guests stay with us as comfortable as possible, please see this list.
Once again, we are partnering with Cambridge Churches Homeless Project (CCHP), who are co-ordinating the volunteers. If you would like to volunteer, particularly as a head cook, for an overnight shift or for a weekend shift, please follow this link which will take you to the CCHP website, where you will find details of how to apply and the short form that needs to be completed.
