Two animated hands shaking

Mills & Reeve will boost the number of partners to 171 when 11 principal associates are promoted on 1 June 2024. Covering various key sectors, including healthcare, life sciences, insurance government and private wealth, the new partners are based across six out of seven offices.

Claire Clarke, Mills & Reeve’s managing partner, commented: “It’s always fantastic to see lawyers that have grown and developed with the firm over a number of years reach partnership. This partner promotion cohort includes a great blend of talent from across the business and we look forward to seeing them build their practices further in the years ahead.”

Cambridge and Norwich specifically had an impressive year with these four distinguished solicitors joining the partnership:

Cambridge

Stephanie Caird is a life sciences lawyer, supporting a wide range of clients in the pharma and biotech, medical devices and diagnostics sectors. She’ll support the growth of the firm’s commercial life sciences practice, with a particular focus on med tech, clinical trials and regulatory work.

David Stead is a projects lawyer with over 20 years of experience advising parties to real estate transactions. He’ll specialise particularly in the student accommodation offering and look to continue to grow work in this area.

Samuel Maw will support the firm’s growth in government sector and real estate disputes work. He’ll also focus on maximising opportunities from real estate investment clients in Cambridge and London.

Norwich

Frances Bailey is a specialist family lawyer advising clients from all around the UK, with particular experience in advising business owners. Her promotion bolsters Mills & Reeve’s Norwich family team. Frances will continue to specialise in and grow the firm’s offering in the wealth protection elements of family law.
