As one of ARIA’s new Activation Partners, Cambridge NeuroWorks will focus on the agency’s Scalable Neural Interfaces opportunity space, to rocket-boost progress on a new generation of neuro-technologies designed to treat conditions such as depression, dementia, chronic pain, epilepsy and injuries to the nervous system.
Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Cambridge NeuroWorks Community Manager to spearhead the establishment of a collaborative ecosystem that positions Cambridge as a global hub for neurotechnology innovation. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in connecting diverse stakeholders, including academic institutions, businesses, patient organisations, charities, and research centres, to foster synergetic solutions and enable cross-disciplinary collaboration in neurotechnology. - Community Building: Facilitate ongoing communication and engagement across the network, creating an environment of trust and shared purpose to foster a cohesive, multi-stakeholder community. This will include working with marketing colleagues to define and execute a media strategy.
- Project Coordination: Manage the logistics and operational aspects of network-building activities, including coordinating events, workshops, and meetings that bring together stakeholders to share insights, research, and best practices in neurotechnology.
- Strategic Networking: Work closely with the project team to develop strategies that position Cambridge as a leading neurotechnology hub, building strong ties locally and internationally to encourage innovative partnerships and collaborative projects.
- Innovation Promotion: Enable cross-sector interactions to identify potential synergies, promoting new initiatives and supporting the development of groundbreaking neurotechnological solutions.
- Ecosystem Mapping: Conduct mapping and analysis of the current neurotechnology landscape to identify gaps, opportunities, and areas for collaboration, ensuring comprehensive coverage and engagement across sectors.
- Patient-Centric Focus: Engage with patient advocacy groups and organisations to ensure that innovations align with patient needs, enhancing outcomes and integrating real-world insights into the network’s goals.
- Metrics and Reporting: Track engagement and project outcomes, preparing regular reports to highlight progress, impact, and areas for further growth in the neurotechnology network.
Qualifications and Attributes:
- Demonstrable expertise and credibility in a relevant field such as neuroscience, bioengineering, healthcare management, or a related discipline, through qualification (degree/master’s) or track record.
- Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, project management, or community building, ideally within a scientific or healthcare setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and facilitate collaboration across diverse groups.
- Familiarity with the neurotechnology or broader healthcare technology sector is a plus.
