We are offering an exciting permanent opportunity within our forward-thinking Site Operations team for a Digital Project Manager in Business Development. Based in our BioPharma R&D organisation, this role focuses on leading digital initiatives that will arise from our newly established Digital Strategy. You will collaborate across the organisation to identify and prioritise opportunities, drive digital transformation, and deliver results that matter.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Delivery: Lead the planning and implementation of diverse digital projects within Site Operations, ensuring objectives are met on time and within budget. This role encompasses a wide range of innovative and often cutting-edge initiatives aligned with our Digital Strategy, spanning across all Site Operations functions.
Client-Centred Planning: Conduct project planning tailored to the needs of your collaborators, defining clear goals and objectives, roles, and a structured timeline. Create accurate and engaging project plans, ensuring all tasks are scheduled and tracked effectively.
Risk Management: Identify and manage risks proactively to prevent delays and ensure smooth project delivery. Develop mitigation strategies to address potential issues before they impact the project timeline.
Value Realisation and Benefit Tracking: Champion a results-oriented approach, defining clear metrics for value at project initiation and tracking outcomes through all stages to ensure benefits are achieved and sustainable. Quantify ‘before and after’ impacts, with follow-up analyses to validate and maximise value over time.
Reporting and Communication: Maintain regular communication with management, clients, and collaborators. Provide clear, consistent updates on progress, risks, and outcomes to keep all parties aligned and informed.
Team Leadership: Facilitate and lead cross-functional teams, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment on project goals. Cultivate a collaborative team environment that encourages open communication, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Management: Act as a primary point of contact for internal collaborators and external partners, engaging effectively across Business and IT teams to foster collaboration and drive alignment on objectives.
Continuous Improvement: Find opportunities to optimise processes and technologies, contributing to ongoing efficiency and operational excellence.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
Project Management Certifications: PMP, Agile (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster), PRINCE2, or equivalent certifications.
Experience: 3-5+ years in digital or technology project management, ideally within an industry-relevant context, with demonstrated ability to lead complex projects from concept to completion.
Digital Transformation Knowledge: Understanding of digital transformation concepts, change management, and user experience (UX) is highly valued.
Desirables:
Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project & JIRA; familiarity with Gantt charts and other planning tools is advantageous.
Leadership and Self-Starter Abilities: A proactive approach, strong organisational skills, and the ability to envision and shape a new role within a dynamic environment.
Analytical and Problem-Solving: Capable of identifying challenges and developing actionable solutions that drive project success.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional skills for engaging with a range of collaborators, ensuring clarity and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Adaptability and Change Leadership: Ability to navigate shifting priorities and lead teams through ambiguity and change, balancing flexibility with the rigor needed to deliver on commitments.
With the completion of our Digital Strategy and the emphasis on digital innovation, this role offers a unique opportunity to bring this vision to life. Reporting directly to the Digital Services Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in embedding digital change across Site Operations, ensuring our projects deliver sustained, impactful value
