At our ARU Writtle campus, we specialise in animal, environmental, agricultural and horticultural courses, for learners aged 16 to 18, adult learners, undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
About the Role:
Do you have a clear commitment to excellence and want to inspire others? If so we are looking for you to join our Further Education teaching team! We are seeking a talented individual with the relevant experience and knowledge of the Floristry Industry to provide instruction and lecturing to our Further Education students.
You will be required to teach all aspects of Floristry, as well as other related topics to Further Education students on full-time, part-time and short courses, through lectures and practical sessions. The successful candidate will also contribute to the management, assessment and recruitment of students as well as have input into curriculum development.
To succeed you will have Level 2 GCSE English and Maths or equivalent and two A levels or Vocational qualification at NVQ level 3 or equivalent. You will also have relevant and recent industry experience within the Floristry industry and a desire to educate and develop a range of learners at level 2 and 3. Up-to-date technical knowledge is vital to allow the sharing of best practices to both students and team members. Ideally, you will hold or be working towards the completion of your teaching qualification. It is essential that you are willing to work towards the assessor and internal verifier qualifications as these will be a requirement upon appointment.
