About the Role:

 

You will be joining the successful Sport and Exercise Sciences team: home to one of the top ranked Sport and Exercise Sciences programmes in the UK (Guardian University League Tables 2020-23) and the Cambridge Centre for Sport and Exercise Sciences, located in the Faculty of Science and Engineering on our Cambridge campus. We are forward-looking and enthusiastic, with a vision that combines a strong civic commitment to our region with excellence in learning and teaching. We are seeking an experienced and motivated academic practitioner (Sport Therapist) to contribute to teaching and administration on our Sport & Exercise Therapy course.

 

The prospective candidate will deliver across the teaching and learning portfolio in Sport and Exercise Therapy. As an academic practitioner, you will maintain your professional practice and currency alongside your role at ARU.

 

You will have current professional qualifications and experience in teaching and learning in higher education. You will have a Degree or relevant professional qualification (Sport and Exercise Therapy or equivalent area), extensive post qualification CPD activities and/or a higher degree and professional membership of or accreditation from SST or similar (e.g. BASRaT) or eligibility to attain this.  You’ll have a track-record of applied practice and networking in the field along with a commitment to CPD. 

 

You will have the opportunity to contribute to the broad range of the School’s teaching portfolio, in particular our campus-based BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Therapy course, professionally accredited by the Society of Sports Therapists.  You will also demonstrate the ability and desire to contribute to the School’s knowledge exchange & consulting activities.
