About the Role: 

Within the Strategic Planning and Performance Directorate, we are looking for a Market Insights and Student Numbers Officer that will be based in the Market Insights and Student Numbers Team. This role is a full-time role, and will focus on supporting the delivery of student numbers analysis contributing to student recruitment activities at all levels and in all modes, and the development of the product portfolio of ARU’s (including Writtle College and Partners) offer by providing market insights and data analyses.

 

Primary responsibilities will include producing market data and intelligence to inform ARU’s (inc. Writtle College and Partners) recruitment activity and the product development of our offer and portfolio planning, and to benchmark performance to comparator and competitor universities in both the Further and Higher Education (FE & HE) sectors, as well as providing insights and analysis (inc. customer profiling) from different databases and sources, to support student recruitment and product development activities and develop future strategies.

 

With a degree, or equivalent qualification, you will have proven data analysis experience. This will include working with large and complex data, and demonstrating an appropriate approach to numerical data and statistical information. The role will also see the successful candidate undertake primary and desk research from time to time which may include analysis of qualitative evidence and other external sources of information. As a good team player, you’ll have excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.

 

The role will be Chelmsford or Cambridge based, with the option for agile/hybrid working. Occasional travel to other sites will be required.
