In doing so, they will produce and deliver strategic communications through online channels, in order to deepen the University's relationship with its key audiences.

The role-holder will ensure that the University's online content is created to meet its readers' needs and that it is clear, simple and easy to understand. They will act as the subject matter expert on content design and evaluation for cam.ac.uk and a portfolio of other University websites, and lead on web campaign analysis. They will work closely with content authors to identify training needs or content design improvements that maximise the external visibility and user-friendliness of the University's news, research and other priority content.

The Office of External Affairs and Communications manages the University's external communications worldwide, demonstrating Cambridge's contribution to society through its pursuit of education, learning and research at the highest international levels of excellence.

You will be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and have strong listening and data synthesis skills. You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and discretion, giving you the ability to work with staff and other stakeholders at all levels, and be comfortable with managing multiple competing priorities effectively. Attention to detail and high standards of accuracy are also essential.

Experience of using accessibility and SEO audit software, and a desire to set new standards through incremental improvement would also be an advantage.
