"Businesses in Cambridge know that the A14 needs to be improved and there is a real chance that this could happen," she says. "We want fewer accidents and fewer long delays on this major route, which is so important to our region.
"But it depends on all the local authorities pulling together now. Without collaboration between the parties the current proposal will fall apart and it will go back to the bottom of the list.
"We urge the councils to work together effectively to make sure that it happens."
