Addenbrooke's staff join Rudolph Run - your last chance to sign-up!

Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT), the dedicated charity for Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie hospitals, is organising the first annual Christmas fun run at Addenbrooke’s – the Rudolph Run – on Sunday 1 December 2013. Deadline to sign-up is Friday 22 November!

A group of staff from the Addenbrooke's Oncology team are donning their antlers and flashing red noses to raise funds for their department in the Rudolph Run. Will you join them?

The fun run is open to all. Whether you’re a walker, fun runner or serious runner – everyone is welcome to take part. You can join as an individual or why not put together a team from work and have fun while raising money for the hospitals?

The 5km fun run will follow a route around the Cambridge Biomedical Campus where Addenbrooke’s is based. There is also a 3km route for children, infants in pushchairs and those with limited mobility.

Keith McNeil, Chief Executive of Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie, said: “We are very excited about hosting the first ever Rudolph Run on the Campus, which we hope will become an annual event on the Cambridge calendar. Fun runners can choose to raise money to support patients throughout Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie or opt to support one of ACT’s current campaigns: ACT on Cancer or the Healing Hearts Appeal. Please join us in making a difference for patients.”

Registering to take part is easy – simply sign-up online at www.act4addenbrookes.org.uk/RudolphRun or call 01223 349805.  A small registration fee of £10 per adult or £5 per child (ages 5 – 15 years) applies, which includes an event pack, runner number, goody bag, festive reindeer antlers and flashing red nose!

Sprint, jog, speed walk, Nordic walk, skip, hop or trot – however you complete it, just have fun! So please join in and sign up today.
