The Bartlow Charity Walk covers three counties; Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Essex, raising much needed funds this year for three worthy causes: Tom’s TrustAddenbrookes Cancer Research Hospital and Bartlow Church Restoration. The eighteen years of the walk have raised over £200,000 for amazing projects.

This year, a total of £19,771 was raised for the three causes. The walk saw a record number of walkers, with 1,101 people taking part.

Ed Mayer, head of residential sales Savills and the mains sponsor of the event presented cheques to the representatives of the three causes this week.

Kirsty Keegan, Head of Fundraising for Toms Trust, said: “We are so pleased to be a part of the Bartlow walk on its record year for registrants. The walkers united for three important causes, and the results will help their local community greatly. With this money, we will be able to help over a dozen young children following a brain tumour diagnosis.”

Reverend Paul Seaton-Burns for the Bartlow Church Restoration and Donna Lee-Willis for Addenbrookes Charitable Trust for the Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital Appeal.
