Are you making the most of the Learning Collaboration?

With ever tighter budgets and increasing focus on productivity, staff training has never been more important. Are you making the most of the wide range of quality courses available on your doorstep through Cambridge Network’s Learning Collaboration (LC)?

LC works on behalf of Cambridge Network members to organise, purchase and share training and management development opportunities. That means all members benefit from economies of scale, gaining improved access to high quality professional training courses at value-for-money prices.

Network membership means you automatically have the right to book on to any LC course at any time, while some categories of membership  actually include LC training units.

Emma Stewart, Head of Operations for the Learning Collaboration, points out: “We have a core group of employer companies whose membership entitles them to a fixed number of what we call training units, which cost £150 each.  We cater to their training needs by providing precisely the courses they require for their staff.

“But we also run general courses and, with very few exceptions, both types of courses are open to all members, which means that companies and individuals can also book on to any course at any time and pay the going rate for that course. Depending on the subject matter and duration, courses typically cost one to three units, or £150 - £450.

“We’d like to encourage members to take advantage of the huge variety of courses we have on offer. In particular, if your employer is a member, find out from your HR department whether your company has training units available as part of its membership, and book on to some courses.”

LC has an ongoing calendar of diverse courses  – more than one every day of the year – delivering soft skills, technical and management training at all levels. Check out the Learning pages on this website to find out more.

Courses coming up this summer include:

Python Programming (3-6 July)

ScrumMaster Certification (5-7 July)

ISEB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing (17th – 19th July)
