Giveacar is a UK based fundraising organisation that specialises in donating the proceeds from the sale of unwanted and scrap cars to charitable causes throughout the world, including CBM UK.

Unwanted cars are collected free of charge by Giveacar and either sold through an online auction, or disposed of in an environmentally friendly way at an Authorised Treatment Facility.
With the ‘bangers’ that are scrapped, CBM can raise enough money to support a child at school for a term, or save the sight of two adults through cataract surgery. Better condition cars can raise a minimum of £150 which could allow a child to walk again through non-surgical clubfoot therapy.

CBM UK, the overseas disability charity based in Cambridge, is asking the public to crunch their old cars for cash as part of a novel fund-raising scheme run by the Giveacar social enterprise.
