BDB Pitmans adds tax partner to bolster corporate and real estate practice

BDB Pitmans has announced the arrival of leading corporate tax partner Alex Barnes, who joins the firm from Memery Crystal, where he previously led the tax group. The appointment is effective immediately.

Alex has developed a multifaceted practice with a wide range of expertise across both corporate and real estate tax matters. He has previously practiced at Irwin Mitchell and Eversheds Sutherland.

Working across a broad client base, he commonly advises SMEs on a wide range of transactions including mergers and acquisitions, reorganisations, tax reliefs and incentives for investors and tax-efficient exit planning. Within real restate, he provides advice to developers, occupiers and investors - both offshore and onshore - in respect of both commercial and residential UK property. Alex is also qualified to advise on international matters, including withholding tax, double tax treaties and the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (‘FATCA’).
