Members of Bidwells Head and Residential offices in Trumpington are giving up their time to sell copies of the firm's charity recipe book, in fancy dress, in the supermarket's foyer throughout the two days.
Make me, Eat me! forms part of significant fundraising celebrations to mark the firm's 175 years in business, with funds raised donated to five children's charities across England and Scotland including East Anglia's Children's Hospices.
Patrick McMahon, Senior Partner, Bidwells, said, "Supporting our nominated charities in our 175th year has had a profound and very beneficial impact across the Firm and we're very grateful for the support of Waitrose, especially during their busiest time of the year.
We're very grateful to everyone who contributed to Make Me, Eat Me! - a very special collection of recipes which would make an ideal Christmas present.
Please help us raise £30,000 for small charities which do such a brilliant job for local children and their families. Although this is part of a much bigger fundraising initiative, it is probably our highest profile enterprise and something everyone can get involved with and enjoy."
Ken MacDonald, Waitrose Manager, said, "We're delighted to be able to support Bidwells in their fundraising for five such fantastic charities."
The cookbook includes recipes from celebrities such as Raymond Blanc and Ed Sheeran, from Bidwells' clients, Bidwellians themselves and the charities involved. Recipes have been submitted from the Cambridge area include Trinity College, Cambridge Brewhouse, Cambridge Fire and Rescue Service and The Tickell Arms in Whittlesford.
The Santa and elf costumes were kindly provided by Party Mania in Burleigh Street.
