THE BIG FAT SOFT-KEY™ - THE SHORTCUT IS BACK
InputDynamics’ software-only upgrade makes smartphones smarter by adding the Big Fat Soft-Key™ without the need for new hardware.
A fast training routine is required to customize the Big Fat Soft-Key™ to the user’s tapping style. Following this our recognition software is capable of detecting the user’s taps buried within the microphone and accelerometer streams.
In other words, almost by magic, the handset is upgraded with Big Fat Soft-Key™ input functionality.
A convenient location for imparting commands using the Big Fat Soft-Key™ is the back-cover of the handset where the user can ergonomically tap with the index finger of the hand holding the handset.
Depending on the application, the user can tap on the Big Fat Soft-Key™ and, for example: browse pictures, zoom in or out, skip a track, increase or decrease the volume, take a picture, capitalize text, cycle through number or symbol keypad layouts, cycle through suggested words, implement actions in games such as jump or weapon change or similar and so on. The possibilities are endless.

The Big Fat Soft-Key CameraTM App is an application enabling the user to take camera shots by tapping the Big Fat Soft-KeyTM on the back of the handset in a natural ergonomic position for the hand.
Big Fat Soft-Key CameraTM App enables the user easily to take shots of the user and friends using the front camera using a single hand, for greater ease of use and comfort.
