Matthew has previous relevant legal experience in both the UK and parts of southeast Asia and will be contributing to Birketts’ growing international offering. In the UK, he worked as a corporate Associate focusing predominantly on private company M&A, private equity, and joint ventures. In Southeast Asia, he acted as in-house legal counsel for a group of companies, which provided fund management and investment advisory services to funds that invested in listed securities and private equity opportunities in southeast Asia.
He joins a Corporate Team ranking top in both the Legal 500 UK and Chambers UK legal directories, with more than a dozen lawyers named in the Legal 500 for their exemplary efforts on behalf of their clients. The team has amassed years of international experience before joining our experts, and have backgrounds in international transactions, including acquisitions of overseas companies and disposals of UK companies to international buyers.
