Breakfast events prove Cambridge Network is listening to members

What are the critical issues facing your business? Chances are that fellow Cambridge Network members are facing them too. So here’s an opportunity, not only to discuss possible solutions with like-minded people, but to meet other Network members who may be able to help.

Member organisations with fewer than 21 staff are invited to come along to St John’s Innovation Centre on Thursday September 27th (8am -10 am) to take part in a new kind of breakfast networking event – the first in a planned series of events that aims to deliver precisely what members are asking for.

“We are introducing this new format in response to a survey of smaller Cambridge Network members that we ran earlier this summer,” explains Andrea Mitchell, who co-ordinates events for the Network. “The survey results showed that, while our monthly events with high-profile speakers are popular, some members are keen to have the chance to network in smaller groups. Members also said that they would like to focus on specific issues they are facing in business.

“Following on, we’d like to shape future events around the feedback we receive on the day, so this is a sort of pilot. We want to canvas opinion from those in the room to find out how they would like to see the events unfolding.”

Coaching, Finance, Business Improvement and Marketing are some of the topics which will be covered briefly at the first event, with short talks from members who will explain what they have to offer in these areas. There is the possibility that further meetings will focus on specific topics of interest, with Network members again providing facilitation and input, potentially in a clinic style.

The cost for the meeting is £10 / head. Any Cambridge Network member from a company with 21 staff or less is welcome to attend.
