The Business Women’s Brainstorming Lunch, created by members of Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce, provides an opportunity for business women to gain advice on how to tackle the burning issues within their company and discuss their ideas for the future.
Over a working lunch, round-table discussions allow business women to bounce their ideas around, draw on the experiences of other attendees and get advice from others on the potential to turn their plans into reality.
Carla Brown, Project Coordinator at Living Sport, who attended a previous event, said: “It was really refreshing to discuss ideas and for them to be received in a non-judgemental way and was interesting to share ideas and provide the other ladies with some insight into my area of expertise and vice versa. We all had significantly different points that we brought to the table originally, but quickly we were able to forge similarities between each of our organisations and sectors – providing solutions and problem solving.”
Helen Bosett, Sector Co-ordinator at Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce which is facilitating the event, added: “This event has proven to be an innovative way to gain advice and opinion on business ideas and challenges in an open and honest environment. Whether there’s a problem you need to solve in the workplace, an idea that you don’t know how to take forward or a concept you’re worried might never work, business women have shown that they are ready and willing to support each other by offering their opinion at the very earliest stages.”
The next Business Women’s Brainstorming Lunch takes place at Peterborough Greyhound Stadium on Wednesday 6 November from 11.30am-1.00pm. To find out more or book a place please call Helen Bosett on 01733 370809 or email h.bosett@cambscci.co.uk
