Businesses find something to laugh about

Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce has announced the return of its Comedy Night and Black Tie Dinner in Peterborough, which will bring together some of the city’s leading businesses for an evening of entertainment and fundraising in aid of Anna’s Hope.

The black-tie event will be held on Friday 25 February at the Great Northern Hotel and will include after-dinner entertainment from Adger Brown. A veteran of the after-dinner circuit and a consummate professional, Adger has performed with many sports stars and celebrities at events up and down the country. Now in his 30th year in show-business, Adger works mainly on the Corporate and Sporting dinner circuit.

Vic Annells, Chief Executive of Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce, said:

“There is renewed confidence across our local economy and businesses are ready to celebrate the resilience they have shown during the pandemic. Some companies have already signalled their intention to use the event to thank staff and key clients for going above and beyond what was expected of them over the last two years.”

Tickets include a three-course meal with wine on the table. The event will also raise money for Anna’s Hope, the Chamber’s nominated charity of the year, with a charity raffle taking place during the evening.
