As well as an exceptional networking opportunity, the event will enable businesses to hear first-hand from April Carrol, Principal and Chief Executive of New College Stamford, who will share her vision for the future and her plans for the college to work more closely with local businesses going forward.
April Carrol commented: “A key strategic priority for New College Stamford is to develop a greater focus on meeting the needs of our local business community in and around Stamford, but also those businesses in the wider Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire area. I am looking forward to growing this new partnership, alongside establishing better engagement with businesses to mutual benefit.”
John Bridge OBE DL, Chief Executive of Stamford Chamber of Commerce, added: “Borderville is a great focal point for the local community, creating opportunities for local organisations to work in partnership and building an increased sense of community. It’s the perfect venue to bring local businesses together to build new connections, raise their profile and do more business locally. I know many local businesses are very much looking forward to hearing how they can work more closely with the college, in particular.”
Richard Olsen, Chairman of Stamford Chamber of Commerce, said: “The Stamford Chamber Committee is keen to work with fellow local businesses from all sectors, and in partnership with others, to promote the merits of Stamford to both consumers and businesses. A thriving retail and commercial sector is important to all Stamfordians and we look forward to hearing views on how we can work together to drive more footfall and businesses into the area.”
The event will also include networking over refreshments provided by hospitality students from New College Stamford and a tour of the new sports, leisure and football club facilities, soon to be home of The Daniels.
