Businesses go a shade of pink for hospital charity

Members of a business community came together and showed their commitment to patients at Addenbrooke’s this month by taking part in the Addenbrooke’s Breast Cancer Appeal.

Since the appeal, formally known as Pink Rose Appeal, began in 2004 more than £550,000 has been raised to support breast cancer research and treatment at Addenbrooke’s.

Business in Action for Addenbrooke's members, Estate Agents Strutt and Parker, showed they are not just property specialists opening their doors to customers on Friday 23 October inviting them in for pink themed cakes and tea raising £174. Partner, Cameron Ewer dressed up in a Pink Panther outfit in a bid to raise more money!

Cambridge Commodities based in Ely, satisfied their sweet tooth with pink themed cakes and with the company providing match funding it brought their total to £410.  Personal injury specialists, Irwin Mitchell cooked up a storm in their office and enjoyed sweet treats for elevenses raising £77.  Staff at Domino Printing Sciences of Trafalgar Way Bar Hill, donned pink outfits for the day in celebration of the appeal.

A special 250th anniversary Business in Action networking event will take place at the David Dunn suite at Addenbrooke’s Hospital on 2 March 2016.  This event is open to members and non-members. To book your place please email fundraising@act4addenbrookes.org.uk.
