Playing in teams of four business people from Hunt & Coombs Solicitors, Alan Boswell Insurance Advisors, Primary Steps to Work, Natwest Business Banking, RedPalm Technology Services, Metro Bank Cambridge, BSS and Monthind Clean LLP took to the course at Girton Golf Club to build new connections and help raise funds for Magpas.
A charity raffle took place during the evening’s awards dinner with generously donated prizes from local businesses. Prizes ranged from a voucher for four to play by Girton Golf Club to a 45 minute punting tour with Prosecco from Scudamore’s Punting Company. Peterborough Accountants, Moore Stephens, also sponsored a hole on the course with the proceeds going directly to Magpas.
John Bridge OBE DL, Chief Executive of Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce, said: “It was great to see such a brilliant turn out at this year’s charity golf day and awards dinner. We hope that all the money raised through the raffle and hole sponsorship will help Magpas to continue their life-saving work within East Anglia.”
The golf day is one of two charity events held by the Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce. The Comedy Night and Black Tie Dinner, is set to take place in June at Orton Hall Hotel, Peterborough and aims to raise funds of near £800.
