The Cafe' Scientifique @ The Sage launches its autumn programme

The cultural talks continue at The Sage of Cambridge, exploring creativity and innovation.

Starting on 13 September, the Cafe' Scientifique returns with a variety of talks to showcase Cambridge's brilliant minds in an informal and convivial setting. 

On 13 September, Dr Claire Barlow will tackle plastics, by examining the role of packaging as part of the whole food production and supply system, and showing that it can save huge amounts of resources if used and disposed of wisely. 

On 22 September, Prof Tavner will discuss clean energy. He will describe the new sources available and our future potential to mitigate the consequences of our energy use to date.

Following on, on 6 October, Jane Bower will champion creativity with her experiences of writing a play for Dame Maureen Lipman and performing it on World Cup night.

November will be about the power of comics as Lucy Cavendish Fellow Dr Joe Sutliff Sanders will explore the fascinating world of Batman.
