Following a strong first season in 2012, the flights have been reintroduced for 2013 and will launch this Saturday, 11 May 2013, from Cambridge Airport’s new terminal. For the 2013 season, travellers will be able to choose from a selection of seven-night or fourteen-night packages to Jersey starting from just £287 per person, or can book flight-only packages from just £119 per person.
Robert Mackenzie, the managing director at C.I. Travel Group said, “We are delighted that our second season of flights from Cambridge to the Channel Islands is proving so popular. After a successful launch season in 2012, sales to date are 75% up on last year and underlines the attraction of flying from a small and friendly regional airport. We are very much looking forward to bringing even more visitors to our beautiful islands from Cambridge and the surrounding region this summer.”
“We’re delighted to be working with CI Travel, offering flights to Jersey for a second season. It comes as no surprise to us that the flights are proving so popular - Jersey has long been a favourite destination for Cambridge residents, with its fabulous sunny beaches and wealth of attractions for families and couples alike. We have improved our customer experience for 2013, with a brand new terminal and facilities offering business-class style lounges, and are looking forward to even more travellers enjoying our airport this summer”, commented Marshall’s Steve Jones, managing director of aviation services, which runs Cambridge Airport.
Ideally located only three miles from the centre of Cambridge, Cambridge Airport offers direct access from London by rail in just 45 minutes and provides a gateway for the East of England.
