Cambridge Network had very good representation of 30-40 members at the invitation-only event, having had a Finance Directors' event the week before, with Julian Huppert MP speaking. Cambridge Network and the University made up much of the group receiving the messages and praise for Cambridge.
We probably all have views on how much business affects the country where it takes place, and whether governments should intervene in the market. Pfizer is reassuring the UK government that AstraZeneca's move to Cambridge would still be fully supported if a deal were to be struck - and we have to agree that if they want innovation and future success, then Cambridge is one of the very best places in the world to achieve it.
