A successful bid by Meet Cambridge, the conference and events bureau for Cambridge and the region, is resulting in a three-day visit by the party of ten from 8th-10th April, ahead of the prestigious international exhibition Meet GB, organised by VisitBritain, at the De Vere Beaumont Estate in Windsor.
The group will enjoy the ‘Cambridge Experience’ with a stay at Newnham College, which has just opened its new conference facilities and bedrooms, dining at both Jesus College and Trinity Hall and a private tour of the Pepys Library at Magdalene College.
Over the three days, they will visit other central Cambridge venues: Robinson College, The Møller Centre, The Cambridge Union Society, Jesus College, Gonville & Caius College and Doubletree Hilton Cambridge City Centre, as well as out of town facilities: Newmarket Racecourse and Imperial War Museum, Duxford.
A flavour of Cambridge will also be given by punting with Scudamores and a Guided Walking Tour of Cambridge organised by Visit Cambridge & Beyond.
Kelly Vickers, Director of Meet Cambridge said: “We are thrilled to have been chosen as the destination to host our international party and to have the opportunity to showcase exactly what we can offer. We have purposely chosen experiences that are available to planners who wish to host events here. It’s a packed itinerary for the three days but it will give our visitors the chance to see how unique and inspiring Cambridge and the region is for all types of events.
“We are hugely grateful to all our venues and those organisations providing tours, hospitality and experiences for the group and hope they enjoy sharing their unique offering with our overseas guests.”
