Martin Garratt, CEO of Cambridge Cleantech, comments that “India has a population of 1.27 billion plus people and growing and that to accommodate the rapid urbanisation, the Government has allocated US$1.2 billion in 2015 to commence the building of 100 smart cities. This represents a major opportunity for our members, especially those with building technologies solutions and explains the keen interest in India and why the creation of both our Smart Cities and Asia Special Interest Groups for members has been so popular”. He went on to say that “European Business and Technology Centres (EBTC), which helps EU based SME’s expand into India and of which we are a member, has been very helpful in organising the European Pavilion, arranging speaking slots and setting up meetings for our members”.
Cambridge Cleantech, along with partners European Business & Technology Centres (ebtc) and Basildon Council will be attending and presenting at the Smart Cities India event in New Delhi from 20 -22 May 2015. Cambridge Cleantech has secured funding from ebtc to partly cover the costs of members wishing to travel to the event
