Cambridge Index advances 0.3%

The Cambridge Index rose 63.7 points or 0.3% to close at 21,971.7, as seven out of the top ten index heavyweights posted weekly gains in their share price.

Johnson Matthey, up 0.4%, along with Honeywell UOP announced that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to offer an end-to-end solution for businesses developing alternative fuels from a wide range of feedstocks, including municipal solid waste, residual biomass, biogas, and CO₂ (captured and renewable).

Science Group, up 0.2%, in its trading update, announced that its trading performance for FY24 remains on track to deliver another record year of adjusted operating profit in line with expectations.

Oracle Power, down 50.0%, announced that the latest round of drilling at the Northern Zone Intrusive Hosted Gold Project in Western Australia has now been completed. Separately, the company announced that it has raised gross proceeds of £150,000 by way of a subscription for 1,153,846,154 new ordinary shares in the capital of the company at a price of 0.013p per share.

CyanConnode Holdings, down 6.9%, announced that it has appointed Mr Lyndon Faulkner to the board as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.

SDI Group, down 5.6%, announced that it would release its interim results for the six months ended 31 October 2024 on 5 December 2024.

Dialight, down 1.2%, announced that Carolyn Zhang has resigned as the Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) from the company, with immediate effect.

Also, the UK ILO unemployment rate rose more than expected in the three months to September. Meanwhile, the UK RICS house price balance index climbed more than expected in October. The FTSE 100 index declined 0.1% to settle at 8,063.6, while the FTSE AIM 100 index fell 1.1% to close at 3,517.7. Additionally, the FTSE techMARK 100 index lost 1.1% to end at 6,393.6.
