The IET’s annual Innovation Awards celebrate the very best in new innovations in science, engineering and technology, showcasing entries from around the world. With 15 categories to choose from, there is something for every corner of industry to reveal the latest innovations, be it idea, design or product.
The awards, well renowned in the industry for their prestige and accolade, are the place to go to raise your profile and align yourself with engineering excellence.

The Awards are free to enter and impartially peer-reviewed. All finalists and winners benefit from extensive promotional opportunities:
- Your name in front of the IET’s entire 167,000 membership: all shortlisted and winning entries are promoted to members across the world
- Demonstrate your innovation to 500+ award ceremony guests at the Discover Innovation: Shortlist Showcase, open to all finalists

Last year’s winners included:
- A household gadget to purify unclean water using solar power
- An algorithm to optimise plane landing times and minimise delays during bad weather
- A non-invasive test for pre-eclampsia that can be used in the home
- The first 3D printer capable of printing commercial grade silicone
How to enter
The awards are seeking innovations all areas of engineering, including Energy, Healthcare, Cyber Security, IT and Transport. There is also a dedicated category for start-ups. Go online at www.theiet.org/innovation to download the entry form and submit it online by 8 July 2016.
