The Museum opened its doors to visitors again on 22nd May. Initially, it is just open on Saturdays and Sundays between 10.30am and 4.00pm but the team hopes to extend these hours during the summer months as more volunteers return.
The team say: "We have adopted various measures to ensure that our visitors have a safe and rewarding experience. Visitors are allocated five minute entry time slots which can be booked in advance through our website. Visitors without time slots will be given the next available slot.
"A one-way route operates through the Museum and hand washing and sanitising facilities are available throughout. We have had to remove some of our interactive exhibits but many are still in place, operated by foot pedals instead of buttons."
The Museum's beautiful riverside site encourages you to explore Cambridge's industrial history from heavy 19th century engineering to the companies, such as Pye and Cambridge Scientific Instrument Company, which led the way to the Cambridge Phenomenon.
The museum's public entrance is on Riverside, a short walk or cycle ride along the river from the city centre. Just aim for the tall chimney!
