Following the successful launch of The Cambridge’s St Ives store in 2017, and their flagship central store on St Andrews Street in 2018, the new Great Shelford store is the next branch to receive this significant investment.
As a part of The Cambridge’s commitment to transforming its branch network into contemporary destinations, the Great Shelford redesign enables a more personal and intuitive customer experience. The design of the new store incorporates open plan counters offering flexibility for the customer by facilitating both quick transactions and more in-depth conversations, with a closed off area for customers who require private conversations.
Andy Lucas, Chief Operating Officer commented on the new store: “We recognise the value the local community in Great Shelford place on our presence there, so this made it a natural decision for it to be the next investment in our ongoing programme. We understand the huge steps Banks and Building Societies are taking to invest in digital advancements in the way they do business, and we’re doing this, but we’re also proud to be continuously investing in ways our customers can talk to our team face to face, for support with advice, guidance and security.”
Matthew Attridge Customer Service Manager said: “The improvements made to the Great Shelford branch have centred on ensuring we can service our customers in the best way, making it a bright and friendly destination they really want to visit. I’m looking forward to seeing the new store in action and seeing the real benefit our new updated layout can make to our customers.
The team are really looking forward to seeing existing and new members of The Cambridge in store to help them with their saving and mortgage needs.”
