Harriet Fear, MBE, has recently joined the Cambridge Science Centre Board, bringing with her extensive expertise that complements the current Board's strengths, led by Dr David Cleevely.
With a distinguished career over 37 years, including over 20 years as a Diplomat with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Harriet served in 17 countries in a range of roles, including leadership in the commercial sector. Notably, she led the national Life Sciences and Healthcare Trade Team for UK Trade & Investment.
Since 2003, Harriet has been deeply entrenched in the Cambridge business ecosystem. Her contributions were recognised with an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List 2016. Serving as Chief Executive of One Nucleus from 2009 to 2017, she transformed it into Europe's largest life science and healthcare membership organisation. Additionally, Harriet served as the Prime Minister’s Business Ambassador for Life Sciences for five years to 2018. Now enjoying a portfolio career since January 2024, this includes her roles as Special Adviser to Cambridge&, Founder Director of Harriet Fear Associates Ltd and Chair of Cambridge Ahead.
