Julie Moktadir, Head of Immigration Team at Stone King, said: “The government recently clarified the guidance for people applying for pre-settled status under the scheme.
“It states that applicants need to provide one document to show residency in the UK before 31 December 2020.
“If the document provided is dated over six months ago, applicants will need to provide an additional, more recent document to evidence continuous residence.
“However, applicants do not need to provide evidence for their entire period of residency in the UK.”
