Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust, this year’s charity, raised over £10,000 for their essential work supporting in patient care across Addenbrooke's and the Rosie hospitals.
Bert Kenward, Festival organiser, was particularly pleased with the number of customers visiting. “It was our largest ever festival. I think this shows that interest in real ales, perries and ciders. I’d particularly like to thank our volunteers, without whom we would not be able to run the event”
Additionally, Cambridge CAMRA ran its usual competition to find the best beer, cider, perry and meads of the festival.
- Beer: Joint winners: Cambridge Brewing Company Chicken Porter, Harvey’s
- Prince of Denmark (Third place: Siren Broken Dream)
- Cider: Winner: Simon’s COX!!! (Editor’s notes: exact formatting is
- capital COX, and three exclamation marks), Second place: S.O. Cider
- Barrel No. 3 (Third place: Simon’s Short Stirling)
