Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce processes the documentation needed to export goods overseas both online and in person from its offices in Histon. In September the organisation put its official stamp to over 1100 documents with an export value of over £37million.
Fiona Tester, International Trade Manager at Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce, said: “We are delighted to see our customers succeeding in some of the world’s strongest markets overseas, particularly against a backdrop of a widening trade deficit at national level. Over the last 12 months we have processed documentation for goods worth over £376million and it’s very positive to see more and more local companies making their way in overseas markets.”
The support offered by the Chamber extends beyond documentation, with regular seminars and workshops held to help companies evaluate new markets, international trade training courses, translation services and much more. The Chamber also supports new and existing exporters to build connections overseas as organisers of the Cambridgeshire Export Club, a monthly networking event that links companies dealing internationally with market experts and specialist advisers.
