Residents will go to the polls on Thursday 3 May. All seats on the Council will be up for election. The total number of seats on the Council will be 45. This is a reduction from the current number of 57, after new wards were established by the independent Local Government Boundary Commission for England.
Residents are being reminded to make sure they are registered to vote so they can have their say in the elections. They must have done this by Tuesday 17 April. Residents still needing to register to vote can visit www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
If you know you are already registered to vote, then you don’t need to register again.
Details about applying to vote by post or proxy can be found by visiting www.scambs.gov.uk/elections Forms available to download on that website must be printed, signed and returned to South Cambridgeshire District Council. They can be scanned and sent via email, or returned by post.
Applications for a postal vote must be received by 5pm on Wednesday 18 April. Applications for a proxy vote must be received by 5pm on Wednesday 25 April.
