There will be a major celebratory dinner in the autumn with full details to follow later. Other special events will include a blind wine tasting evening at the Old Bridge Hotel in Huntingdon, a garden party at Elgood’s Brewery in Wisbech and a special quiz night in Cambridge.
The Board of Directors will also be returning to the Guildhall in Cambridge next week to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the inaugural meeting of Cambridge Chamber of Commerce back on 15 January 1917.
The Business Women’s Sector will be marking the occasion with a series of initiatives designed to inspire future business women to become our entrepreneurs of the future. Meanwhile the Learning and Skills Sector will be working with Chamber member schools and colleges to hold a Young Entrepreneur Challenge to encourage young people aged 16-24 to unlock their entrepreneurial spirit and submit a business plan to support their business idea.
Companies across the county will also be connecting with local charities and discovering new ways to support them either by providing employees with paid time off work to volunteer or the company’s own professional expertise and support-in-kind.
