The fun-packed event was organised by East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) and staged at the Norfolk Showground.
The course featured four bubble stations along a 2.5km route. Each had a cannon that pumped out coloured foam to create a four-foot deep bubble bath.
“Over 2,000 people came out to enjoy the bubbles, collectively raising more than £63,500,” said EACH Senior Events Fundraiser Emma Cook.
“It’s a fantastic amount of money and definitely something to celebrate, because these events are a hugely important way of raising vital funds.
“Despite wet weather, everyone embraced the rain and puddles. We even managed to finish and pack up before the storms arrived!
“Everything ran smoothly and our sincere thanks go to everyone who signed up and supported us on the day.
“Hopefully they had great fun and created special memories with family and friends. We’ve already received lots of positive feedback.”
The Norwich Bubble Rush took place on Sunday, 26th May and attention now switches to EACH’s 32-mile Norfolk Pier 2 Pier walk, from Cromer to Great Yarmouth, on 22nd June.
Two other big dates on the horizon are the Newmarket Bubble Rush, on 7th July, and The Piglet Junior Hog – a family-friendly, muddy obstacle course – near Woodbridge, on 14th July.
Meanwhile, EACH’s new Lego Walk is taking place at the charity’s Milton base, near Cambridge, on 29th September.
