Guardtech CleanRooms is celebrating Christmas in style this year – by remembering some of the team's favourite builds from the past 12 months. They say:
We took our cleanroom expertise all around the UK (and beyond!) in 2021, starting with the construction of seven ISO5 cleanrooms in Hull, across 600sqm, for diagnostics reagent manufacturing to help the fight against COVID-19.
That project took place alongside a 470sqm ISO8 build in Mullingar, Ireland, but we were back in the north of England soon after to produce a 150sqm ISO8 cleanroom in Goole, before heading back down the country to Somerset to complete a tidy 20sqm ISO8 build.
The team tackled a bespoke double ISO6 ISOPOD build for a Medical Device manufacturer in Cambridge, while the summer featured a series of CleanCube portable laboratory conversions for COVID-19 PCR testing, as well as a 200sqm ISO9 modular build in Daventry and an 80sqm ISO5 semiconductor cleanroom project for Storvik Limited.
Operations Director Conor Barwise and his Design and Installation teams were presented with a number of challenges over the year, flexing their creative cleanroom muscles to deliver outstanding results for some super-satisfied clients.
And he paid tribute to the whole Guardtech team for pulling together to meet some testing deadlines in tough circumstances.
“What a year that was,” he said. “It was such a pleasure to undertake so many complex, interesting builds for so many amazing clients doing such great work in their respective fields.
“The team are still hard at work on a major build in our home region of East Anglia, and we have many more lined up for early next year – so 2022 promises to be even better.
“Thank you to everyone on our team for their brilliant efforts, and to all of our clients for being so accommodating. Merry Christmas to all – we look forward to seeing many more of you next year!”
An extremely busy 12 months ended with two really special 30sqm ISO7 projects in Salford and Cardiff – with the former company producing innovative Medical Device equipment for the Cell & Gene Therapy market and the latter manufacturing components in outer space!
And to cap it all off, Guardtech is currently close to completion on a 150sqm Grade D modular cleanroom in Sevenoaks and making excellent progress on a 400sqm Grade C project for Cell & Gene Therapy in Cambridge.
Commercial Director Mark Wheeler shared Mr Barwise’s sentiments with his own praise for the team, while promising some exciting news for early in the new year.
“We’ve got some huge announcements on the horizon,” he added, “so watch this space for some really exciting developments in the Guardtech journey.
“We had a fantastic year in 2021 and we’re looking forward to the exciting challenges that 2022 holds.”
