Conference Cambridge appoints new Board members

Conference Cambridge, the free venue-finding service for the University, Colleges, hotels and other unique properties in and around Cambridge, has appointed two new Board members.

Deborah Griffin OBE has been Bursar of Homerton College since July 2012.  After taking a degree in Economics at UCL, Deborah qualified as a Chartered Accountant and worked in the hotel industry before joining Andersen and then Deloitte where she worked in corporate finance.

Nick Milne has been Conference & Catering Manager at Robinson College for nine years and before that, held a range of senior roles in the hotel business, including General Manager of Down Hall Country House in Essex. He has also been actively involved in the Meetings Industry Association (MIA) since 1994, serving as Regional
Group Chair and then as a member of Council and was recently given a MI A-List Award, one of the highest accolades in the meetings industry in recognition of his contribution.

Jennifer Brook, Managing Bursar of The Cambridge Venue Company, trading as Conference Cambridge, said: “We are delighted to welcome Deborah and Nick to our Board and look forward to benefitting from their skills
and expertise. Both have in-depth experience of College conferencing which puts them in an ideal position to help guide the future of Conference Cambridge.”
