Conference Cambridge, which has 58 prestigious venues in its portfolio, has joined HBAA as a supplier associate, following the launch of its recent initiative to work more closely with agents which has included a VIP Weekend to showcase its venues to this market and a partnership with Trident Hospitality.
The two-day VIP programme was attended by ten Agents and partners, as well as major event industry representatives: Juliet Price, Chair of the HBAA and Paul Colston, Editor of Conference News, one of the industry’s flagship publications.
Conference Cambridge’s strategy to develop its agent business has already resulted in a significant 39% rise in enquiries, over the last financial year compared to the previous one and a corresponding leap in the value of enquiries, from £1.1 million to £2.9 million.
Kelly Vickers, Manager of Conference Cambridge said: “The success of our VIP Weekend and the growth in agent business over the last financial year has encouraged us to consolidate the way we work with this important market by joining HBAA.
“We are delighted to be supporting the Association’s Annual Forum by exhibiting at this event and look forward to building new relationships and strengthening existing ones during the two days. It will also help us to understand more closely the needs of HBAA members so that we can tailor our service specifically to meet these requirements.”
Chris Parnham, HBAA Chairman and owner of Absolute Corporate Events added: “We are delighted to welcome Conference Cambridge to the HBAA as a supplier associate. They are an impressive asset to the Association and will help our agent members expand their knowledge of the superb venues within the Cambridge area and provide a great one-stop channel for working with them."
