Conference Cambridge joins Arthur Rank Star Shine Stroll memory walk

Conference Cambridge, the official free venue-finding service for Cambridge University and its Colleges, as well as hotels and other unique properties in and around the city, is taking part in a ten-mile walk in aid of its designated charity for 2016.

Members of the team will be putting their best feet forward on Saturday 14th May to participate in the Star Shine Stroll to raise money for Arthur Rank Hospice Charity.

Starting and finishing at Shelford Rugby Club, the team will join hundreds of other participants dressed to ‘shine and sparkle’ as they walk to raise funds and also remember and celebrate someone they love. The walk, starting at 7.00pm and finishing around midnight, will take in Cambridge’s historical buildings and countryside.

In addition to the Star Shine Stroll, Conference Cambridge has announced a programme of fundraising events throughout the year, including two Quiz Evenings, an Afternoon Tea and a meetings initiative where venues will donate the cost of room hire to the charity.

The team has a target of £1000 for the walk. Anyone wishing to sponsor Conference Cambridge can do so: https://www.justgiving.com/Kelly-Vickers1/

Arthur Rank Hospice Charity supports people in Cambridgeshire who are living with a life-limiting illness. To supplement the NHS contribution, the Charity is required to raise £2 million annually to fund vital services and care, which are provided free of charge to patients and their loved ones.
