The team put forward its recent Keep It In Cambridge campaign which was created to encourage event organisers to ‘stay local’ and use venues on their doorstep, reducing travel and meeting sustainability objectives.
The integrated Campaign with a slogan of ‘It’s your City – why would you go anywhere else?’ utilised a number of complementary marketing channels including teaser emails, direct mail, social media, web activity and face-to-face meetings with branded gifts, as well as PR and advertising.
Kelly Vickers, Manager at Conference Cambridge said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for these prestigious and competitive awards for our Keep It In Cambridge campaign. As the winners of previous MIMA Awards – in 2005 for Best Website and in 2008 for Best Use of Budget – we are hoping to make this our third MIMA success.”
The annual MIMA awards were launched in 2002 to raise the standards of marketing in the meetings and events industry and are organised by Meetings & Incentive Travel magazine. Winners will be announced at the 13th presentation banquet dinner which will take place on 20th October 2014 at the Lancaster, London.
