Join a group of more than 20 Cambridge Network members - including Aveva, Bango, e-go aeroplanes, Blacktrace Holdings, Spectral Edge, Stansted Airport, Takeda Cambridge, the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute and Carl Zeiss, among others - to explore the exciting possibilities of apprenticeships and to meet prospective candidates.
Employers are encouraged to participate in this unique interactive event, which aims to connect them with apprenticeship applicants in a friendly, informal setting. Cambridge Network is working with CAP – Cambridge Area 14-19 Partnership – to attract students to attend via a social media campaign and a large turnout is expected from local schools and colleges.
Employers can promote their apprenticeships to students by taking a stand at the jobs fair, for a nominal fee to cover venue and the cost of transporting students to the event. Please contact Claire Angus on 01223 341055 or email claire.angus@cambridgenetwork.co.uk if you would like to receive an exhibitor pack.
Those employers who are not looking to recruit right now will benefit from the chance to connect with companies which have successfully taken the apprenticeship route, and with young people eager to learn about local opportunities. Network members are welcome to sign up on the website and just come along - free of charge - to learn more about employing apprentices from both fellow employers and from event sponsors, the Skills Funding Agency, QA Apprenticeships and Tech Partnership.
This event, which takes place from 3pm to 6pm at The Hauser Forum, (3 Charles Babbage Road, Cambridge CB3 0GT) offers students and jobseekers free entry and the opportunity to:
- Meet the major local employers, who will have stands and be available to answer questions about apprenticeship placements in their organisations
- Take part in an optional CV and interview skills workshop
- Learn about what an apprenticeship can do for your career.
