Course helps people new to management roles

Optimising resources is critical for SMEs and this often means promoting from within, placing inexperienced people into managerial roles. There are always hurdles to overcome, and for people new to managing others there is a lot to learn. Fortunately for Cambridge Network members, help is at hand - in the form of a specialist training course available from the Network's Learning Collaboration entitled 'Transition to Management'.

This popular two-day course runs regularly, with places still available for the next offering later this month (29- 30 November 2012).  It is aimed at:

  •  Team leaders, supervisors and project managers with up to one year's experience in their new role
  •  High potentials who look to be  promoted in the next six months
  •  Technical and project leads who would like to ‘up skill’ on their management techniques.

Being a new manager can be tough. This course provides a practical toolkit of best practice dos and don’ts which will really help people avoid mistakes and feel more equipped to cope in the early days.
