Are you interested in making your workplace more inclusive for individuals on the autism spectrum?  Red2Green, a Cambridgeshire charity that has been working with autistic adults for over two decades is here to help. According to the Office of National Statistics, only 29% of autistic are people currently employed, and Red2Green’s Autism in the Workplace service provides training sessions, webinars, and workplace assessments to bridge the gap and help talented individuals flourish.

The many myths and miscommunications surrounding autism can be broken down by developing a better understanding of the condition. The charity also runs an Aspirations service, which has seen much success as a program designed to support autistic people in entering the workforce. A recent study by the Institute of Leadership & Management revealed that 60% of autistic individuals felt excluded from their workplace. Thus, employers must take steps to ensure that they are equipped to accommodate autistic employees.

McKinsey & Company's 2020 report revealed that companies with diverse teams had 36% better financial returns than their competitors. Therefore, this is an excellent opportunity for businesses to increase their financial returns while also promoting inclusivity.

Red2Green invite you to join their free webinar, "Bridging the Talent Gap: Creating Autism-Inclusive Workspaces", which will be run by their in-house Autism in the Workplace Coordinator, David Dean, who is also an award-winning psychologist and work coach. The webinar will cover topics such as workplace considerations, the recruitment and management of autistic talent, and of course, what autism is. This is a great opportunity for anyone in management to learn more, but especially useful for those in recruitment and HR to learn about how they can make their processes more friendly for autistic people.
