Cruise and stay packages now available from Cambridge

Following the launch of new flights to Verona from Cambridge International Airport, independent cruise and travel company, Ponders Travel, is offering cruise and stay packages sailing from Venice to ports of call on the Adriatic and the Mediterranean.

Travellers across the East of England will be able to book a range of stay-cruise packages departing from Cambridge, which include a pre and/or post-voyage break in Venice and Verona, and stays on leading cruise lines including Holland America Line, Celebrity Cruises, Compagnie du Ponant, Silversea, Star Clippers and Seabourn.

Operated by Etihad Regional’s SAAB 2000 aircraft, the new weekly flights will depart on Saturday afternoons between 17 May and 25 October 2014 and fly to Villafranca ‘Valerio Catullo’ International Airport near Verona, just over an hour’s transfer from the port of Venice.

Available packages include:

  • An 11 night ‘Mediterranean Empires’ cruise with Holland America Line aboard the MS Nieuw Amsterdam discovering ports in Greece and Turkey including a pre- and post-cruise overnight night stay in Venice with return flights, from £1,629 per person  
  • An 11 night cruise with Celebrity Cruises taking in many highlights of Croatia and both Adriatic and Mediterranean Italy aboard the Celebrity Silhouette, including one and two-night pre- and post-cruise city-breaks in historic Venice and Verona, with return flights, from £1,699 per person
  • Or, a four night luxury min-cruise to Croatia and Montenegro aboard the top-end French cruising yacht Le Soléal operated by Compagnie du Ponant, departing 28 June with flights to and from Verona, a one night stay in Venice and two nights in historic Verona, from £2,399 per person
