The Species Champion Partnership supports MPs who stand up for Britain’s most endangered wildlife. The Partnership’s work has become more urgent since the Brexit vote and it is campaigning to protect current environmental regulations once Britain has left the EU.

Daniel, who has recently been re-elected Vice-President of Cambridgeshire Bee Keepers Association, said: ‘I am thrilled to have been given the award by the Species Champion Partnership. When the EU banned neonicotinoids because they damage bees’ fertility and lifespan, the Conservative Government protested and we still haven’t had a straight answer on whether the Government will maintain the ban.

‘Bees are a crucial part of the agricultural process by pollinating our crops. We cannot afford to gamble with their future and I will keep campaigning to protect them.’
